MASSIVE CHARGE are no newcomers in the underground circut, since existing since 2004.. They have released one first album ("Silence") in 2007 and a second one ("Charge This World") in 2001 .. After that, it seems they went thru alot of line-up changes and it is only 10 years later they finally can unleash their third opus "For Those We Hate" ... and what's immediately obvious here, when listening to that new release, is that you can feel the anger and frustration they have accumulated during all that time ! That's all about intense fast-forward power-violence with influences from NAPALM DEATH, TERRORIZER, BRUTAL TRUTH, NASUM to name a few.. you get it ?
"For Those We hate" can be felt like a "catharsis" album, aiming to reject anger, discomfort, frustration and express the obvious feeling of not being in tune with the current state of the world... 17 songs, 38 minutes.. there's a feeling of urgency thoughout all the songs - Everything is happening at full speed, no rest at all, VIOLENCE is omnipresent, AGGRESSIVITY to the maximum ... those guys know how to BLAST and not a second is boring, they also perfectly know how to vary the songs, make them catchy & addictive - every necessary ingredients to a killer release are here : Insane and swift blast beats, dissonant guitars, neck-breaking rhythms, scratched vocals on rupture's verge, layered vocal roars and that little extra brought by new bassist Emy (ex-KALIYUGA - check this band, her vocals are insane !), those sick screams scattered here and there in the choruses (Make me think a bit of Mitch HARRIS on some NAPALM DEATH songs - see what I mean ?)....
Holy SHIT, this album is definitely INTENSE as f**k - and surely one of the best achievements of the genre in 2021 ! Well-done !!!

Born 1969, grew up with the NWOBHM sounds, musically educated with cult french magazines that were ENFER and METAL ATTACK, definitely nailed to the style when "The Number Of The Beast" by IRON MAIDEN was released... From 1982, it was clear life would never be the same ! Young & getting wild to the HEAVY sounds of SAXON, VENOM, BLACK SABBATH, MOTORHEAD, Young Fab also discovered thanks to school mates the NOISE, FILTH & FURY of Hard-Core/Punk bands like G.B.H, DISCHARGE, BROKEN BONES but also CRO-MAGS, BAD BRAINS, FUGAZI... and later on, through the 90's, everything that was ALTERNATIVE, EXPERIMENTAL, GRUNGE, INDUSTRIAL (SONIC YOUTH, NINE INCH NAILS, SOUDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS)... Passion & curiosity grew up as years went by ... Fate was SEALED... no turning back ! No Music = No Life !
