How many Serbian bands have you heard before ? I doubt that many of you will answer me "a lot" .. so this is the opportunity for me to introduce SIGMA EPSILON from Belgrade. This is the band's first production if I'm not mistaken and I have to say that it shows some potential to evolve in a style at the crossroads of Heavy-Metal, Thrash-Metal and Hard-Core. The guitars are very heavy and melodious, the rhythmics are really solid and will for sure hammer your head the right way... as for the vocals, they vary between melodies and aggressiveness with a fair balance, and they're pretty pleasant.. Best illustration and the song that in my opinion defines STIGMA EPSILON's style the best is "Trofej" (oh yes, i forgot to tell you they sing in serbian... and for those who think only "english rules", it's not disturbing at all and brings something different and fresh !)... it perfectly combines fast & slower parts, many tempo-changes that makes it very catchy - i'm impressed by the combination of melodious guitars and intense drumming ! If I had to give some bands names to give you a better idea, i'd name FLOTSAM & JETSAM and ANTHRAX...they have the same melodic and powerful approach of the style, which for me is more than a good point - i definitely recommend you to listen & support the band now !

Born 1969, grew up with the NWOBHM sounds, musically educated with cult french magazines that were ENFER and METAL ATTACK, definitely nailed to the style when "The Number Of The Beast" by IRON MAIDEN was released... From 1982, it was clear life would never be the same ! Young & getting wild to the HEAVY sounds of SAXON, VENOM, BLACK SABBATH, MOTORHEAD, Young Fab also discovered thanks to school mates the NOISE, FILTH & FURY of Hard-Core/Punk bands like G.B.H, DISCHARGE, BROKEN BONES but also CRO-MAGS, BAD BRAINS, FUGAZI... and later on, through the 90's, everything that was ALTERNATIVE, EXPERIMENTAL, GRUNGE, INDUSTRIAL (SONIC YOUTH, NINE INCH NAILS, SOUDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS)... Passion & curiosity grew up as years went by ... Fate was SEALED... no turning back ! No Music = No Life !
