I had reviewed the band's last EP in 2020, that one having had a big impact on me, i was crushed by their straight D-Beat-Hardcore style and for that reason i was impatiently waiting for the next record.. The time has come and it's called "Le Futur Est Là" (Future is here - for non-english-speaking people).. 8 songs, 20 minutes (still short as fuck !) of an incredible and formidable efficiency - BOMBARDEMENT have moved to a higher level since the EP, although using the same ingredients and formulas, it's obvious that the band has matured and the songs are more compact, direct & raw... the DISCHARGE influence is still very present, but BOMBARDEMENT knows how to stand out and not to sound like a uninspired copycat... these 8 titles are breaking waves that rap your face without any respite, it's surly, robust and angry, the guitars are sharp like razors, the rhythms knock you down like a loaded locomotive launched at full speed and as if that was not enough, Oriane's voice gives you the final kick, leaving you breathless... Oriane's voice is what struck me the most compared to the band's previous release, she sings in a harder, angrier, more aggressive way - it's raw as fuck and on the verge of breaking at certain times - fuckin' awesome !
A note about the lyrics... I was surprised to see all songs are now in FRENCH with very critical and corrosive texts, this certainly adds something particular to the band's sound and i find this very welcome !
With "Le Futur Est Là", BOMBARDEMENT does not disappoint and proves to be a safe bet on the current D-beat-Hard-Core scene... SUPPORT !

Born 1969, grew up with the NWOBHM sounds, musically educated with cult french magazines that were ENFER and METAL ATTACK, definitely nailed to the style when "The Number Of The Beast" by IRON MAIDEN was released... From 1982, it was clear life would never be the same ! Young & getting wild to the HEAVY sounds of SAXON, VENOM, BLACK SABBATH, MOTORHEAD, Young Fab also discovered thanks to school mates the NOISE, FILTH & FURY of Hard-Core/Punk bands like G.B.H, DISCHARGE, BROKEN BONES but also CRO-MAGS, BAD BRAINS, FUGAZI... and later on, through the 90's, everything that was ALTERNATIVE, EXPERIMENTAL, GRUNGE, INDUSTRIAL (SONIC YOUTH, NINE INCH NAILS, SOUDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS)... Passion & curiosity grew up as years went by ... Fate was SEALED... no turning back ! No Music = No Life !
